My organic experience

Hi,

For my first post I had to make it extra special so I headed out of wet Manchester and down to Leicester to the silver arcade to an organic hair salon called 'The Organic Experience', the salon is owned by power couple Craig and Nate, who have worked with each other for years. The guys wanted to set up an organic hair salon to offer something different to their clients as well as something that isn't going to damage you hair, as I looked into organic salons I was so shocked that there isn't that many in the UK I was even more shocked that not many of them where in areas with massive mix heritage communities. 

Iv been wanting to go blonde for ages and after doing my homework, and finding out Craig and Nate had made all their  products for the salon and them not having any chemicals like ammonia, paroban and silicon, I made my mind up that booking in with Craig at the organic experience was the salon for me! I wasn't wrong.

As I walked into the salon I was blown away with the amazing decor it's very New York loft, with work stations each different to the next, I took my sit and got chatting to Craig about the look I was after, he explained to me the benefits again of having Afro hair and using organic and vegan hairdressers is amazing, as there is no damage risk to the hair.

Now anyone with Afro hair will know trying to go blonde or even lighter is going to ruin your hair, make it dry and that leads to breakage. Craig explained that the products are that harmless you could eat them (ovbz this is not advise) he told me how he was going to create the look I wanted. 

He started balayaging with naturelite ammonia free lifting powder with revamp protien spray to build the bonds back up inside the hair to prevent breakage. 

There is a product that is huge in America 'olaplex' i had been looking at this product for a while wanting to try it to get my hair blonde as possible, however Revamp is the organic experience alternative to olaplex. It was tested against it and out performed it after 20 washes as olaplex has silicone in to make the hair appear better than it actually is, where as revamp repairs as it lifts for longer lasting results. 

After Craig had worked his magic it's was under their heater to process 

Once lifted I was taken to the backwash to be rinsed using power build protein shampoo and revamp treatment as I primer. Then applied organic colour systems ammonia, paroban and silicon free toner directly over the top. Once developed shampooed again with power build and treatment again then conditions to close the service. 

This was the best part before the best part Craig gives an amazing head massage! 

I wash so nervous at first as my hair seemed dark still, but that was daft as hair lightens up to 12 shades when dry. 

I must admit I have had my hair blonde before and Iv never ever felt it soft not only after a treatment but in my life! 

As Craig began styling he told me he Styled using aqua boost leave in conditioner for moisture and argon oil for extra shine. Finished with aerosol free hairspray. It got lighter and lighter and I feel in love with the amazing job he had done and how amazing my hair felt and moved.

I got some products to take away, I mean you can't travel all that way and go back to normal shampoo.

But I bet what you are all wanting to see are the before and after pictures well here they are, I am so happy with the results and can't thank Craig enough. 

It has now been a few days since my visit and my hair still feels amazing and is more manageable they guys offer a range of

treatments with affordable prices.
